What is the best age for a puppy to learn commands?

My puppy is 7 weeks.. what’s the best time for him to learn basic commands like sit, stay and come. I have tried teaching sit, and i’ve looked up the proper way to do it, but he’s not interested and only tries to snatch the treat.. is it a bit too early or?

I say try right away, but the puppy can be distracted so maybe go running with it to let out all the energy then go to a place without distractions and try if hes still not interested maybe when he is around 3-5 months old.
