How do I train my lab retriever puppy?
I have a young chocolate lab puppy. She is about 3 months old. My father brought her home but gets frustrated with her real easily, won’t train her, won’t spend time with her and expects her to magically know not to do certain things like a human grown up. Moving on from that, does anyone know how to train a puppy not to pee on the carpet, how to stay, and how not to chew on shoes and how to calm down.
Go buy some dog training books. You can buy them specifically on house-breaking or on training in general. The “______ for dummies” series is awesome. I bought their books “puppies for dummies” and “house training for dummies” and they helped me alot. You can also take your puppy to obedience classes. We brought our puppy to puppy kindergarten classes and they were so helpful! It cost us $60 for 7 classes. Call your local pet supply store or talk to your vet and see who they recommend. They classes are not that expensive and they will give you the knowledge and confidence to train your puppy. Good luck!!!!!!!
