Beagle Puppies Are Playful
Beagles are cute dogs, attractive to many people looking for a new pet, but require special care due to the temperament of their breed. You need to look for specific features when selecting your puppy. Some breeders sell online before the puppies are born, they just post on their sites pictures of previous litters of puppies and of the mother and father of the litter for sale. This is the case with the most popular breeders due to their champion bloodlines of dogs. You can choose the puppy you want on line if the breeder posts the pictures of the puppies from the present litter on the site.
When you see the puppies at the breeder’s facility, look for specific characteristics of the dogs of this breed. Their heads need to be strong and to have the specific dome shape. These dogs should have floppy ears with the bottom rounded, but no droopy looking wrinkles on the forehead. They have usually black noses and dark brown colored eyes. Their long tails should arch on their backs and their jaws should bite straight. These are important characteristics especially if the owner is planning on breeding the puppy in the future or on showing the dog. Nevertheless, the puppy’s temperament is more important than the physical aspect in the case when the dogs are used for hunting or as pets.
Look at the puppies in the litter and observe how they interact with each other. Choose an active puppy, not an aggressive one. It is difficult to train a puppy that is timid with its brothers and sisters. Timidity can also show a hidden physical or health problem.
