Proper poodle training is very important. That boils down to consistency in a major way. Its not a hit andmiss thing. You need to work with your poodle every day to make it work. Even if its just for 20 mins a day, doing it every day is key.

Well, to begin with… you shouldn’t have a poodle of less than 8 weeks! So 1st rule is that never bring home a poodle that has had less than 8 weeks with its mother. Its very important that you get the poodle socialized before taking him/her in. Most breeders would have done this already but you should make sure just in case.
Not unlike small children, poodles also ask for unnecessary attention sometimes. Its actually great to do just that. After all whats the point of having a dog in your house if you’re not going to pay attention to him/her. However, blackmailing for attention should be a strict NO-NO.
Many a times when you’re busy and can’t give them attention, your poodles may try to blackmail you by barking endlessly. One of the basic rules of poodle training is to not give in to black mail. Unfortunately, Most people give up and give them what they want. This just strengthens the habit and makes it worse.
