Potty Train A Puppy Fast
Tips On How To Train My Pup
How to Train my puppy
Puppies! Kids can’t get enough of these soft but easily harmed creatures. Their charm proves to disarm children and adults alike with their cute eyes. But once they hit their fifth or sixth week, they are now ready to be trained.
Much like babies, the very first lesson you need to train your puppy is to do its business properly. And by business, I mean “go potty”. Since their babies that are both very curious to their new surroundings, they can’t grasp that you can’t pee just anywhere.
Your job as an owner is to train your puppies to empty their bladder in a place intended. This is where the papering method comes in. This is essentially placing sheets of paper around the room for your puppy to do its business. As the days go by, take note of where it frequently goes to empty its bladder, then slowly take away the sheets of paper except for the location where it frequents, do this until only a sheet remains. After that, slowly move the sheet inch by inch until it recognizes that the sheet of paper is where it needs to go if it wants to “go potty”. If an incident occurs, just be patient and repeat the process. Remember, patience is a must for any dog owner.
If your puppy has passed potty training, you’d want to let your pet puppy explore your house for a while so it could familiarize itself with your house. But just be sure to keep a leash handy, least you find it urinating on your favorite pair of shoes.
Exploring is a way for your training your pet puppy to be more familiar with its surroundings. There isn’t much to training puppies other than to keep them safe and sound. Love then, and when they grow up, they’ll be up to return the favor.
Since you are its owner, it is your job now to train your puppy. But before teaching it to fetch and sit, you need to teach it how to go to the bathroom. That is, if you’re NOT keen on keeping your floors clean and smelling nice.
Papering is essential if you want to train your dog to stop leaving its droppings on your shoes or floors. Also, though this method uses a lot of paper sheets – it is relatively better in the long run. To do the papering method – scatter a lot of pieces of paper in the floor if you haven’t already, then watch where it goes to relieve itself – then take away the sheets of paper except for that one spot it frequents – then take away a few more sheets of paper around the area until only a piece remains. Then for maximum effect, move around the piece of paper so that it will relieve itself on that piece of paper instead of the spot that it’s accustomed to.
Dogs are a lot like children. They don’t understand what is acceptable and what isn’t. At this age, it is very important for your puppy to know what is and what isn’t. Because by this time, you might be fed up with the fact that you need to paper every single bare floor you can find. You need to train your puppy to go the bathroom.
