Ply Dog
Lost 3 month old kitty in big house!!?

I got a siamese fire point last night (I think that’s what it’s called, the red kind.) It was in a ply pen for small animals. It is very tall and I didn’t think it could jump out. Or I fell asleep with it, in the same room, i can’t remember. I live in a very big house, and I am so worried. I have a dog door, but I don’t think it would have gone out of it. There are some pee spots and poop. It has been somewhere between 4/5in the morning, to now! Some body please help, he is 3monthes old and scared of the dogs in the house…. ];

Well the poop and pee is a good sign, at least you know that he should still be in the house. Make sure the dog door is secured though because while you are searching he may get out, keep the door secured until the he is found. Seeing as how you just got him last night he is bound to be scared – of the new environment he has been transferred to, of new people, of new sounds etc. He may be hiding pretty good. When I brought my Oreo home as a tiny kitten she disappeared under / behind the couch for a full 24 hours. He will eventually come out. Seeing as how your house is huge he may be a little harder to find. I would start by putting food and a litter box where you found the poop. He may be sticking to that area. In the meantime maybe call here kitty kitty (he probably does know his name yet). Get on the floor and look everywhere. Since he is tiny he will be able to fit in tons of spots. Look in the backs of closets, in laundry baskets, under things, in things, anywhere and everywhere. Also look in elevated areas. You could also try dragging string, yarn or something because kittens (and cats) love to pounce and chase this type of stuff. In time if not found I am sure he will come out and be seen, once he has gotten over his initial fright. Just make sure the dog door is secure so he does not get out.

Good luck and best wishes.
