Puppies & Facial Cramps?
My puppy tried to jump up on the couch yesterday, but couldn’t so he sat there on the floor, and then kinda fell over, but got right back up. Then his face looked a little weird like he was lifting his cheep/growling on one side. He seemed a little spaced for brief moment & then it was gone. He went back to normal running around etc… My Mom said he did that a few days ago (also when trying to jump down), and another time yesterday as well. Has anyone experienced this? I told my Mom it was sort of like a temp. stroke… He is 12 wks old & just went to the vet on Sept. 3rd f/ his 2nd Parvo shots, de-worm meds, etc… So he is current on everything. The vet checked his heart rate & breathing & said he looked like a healthy pup. Anyone ever experienced this?? Any ideas?
It sounds like your puppy might be having absent seizures. I’m not an expert or anything. I just think it could be a possibility. Maybe ask your vet.
