What is the best kind of harness for a small dog?
I’ll looking for a harness for my 6lb Pom. I’m afraid that he will pull too much and hurt his throat, but he also has an enlarged heart, so I heard a harness is more gentler for that reason as well.
Right now I have a harness that was made for elderly dogs because the straps are thicker but I don’t like the fact that it still goes around his neck.
I have a 6lb yorkie and I hated the idea of using his collar because of his very sensitive neck (as you mentioned). I found a step in harness at petsmart. It doesnt go over his head (which my dog had a serious problem with – we couldnt get him in it very well/fast) and it doesnt touch his neck.
This picture is on a big dog, but they make ones for tiny little pups as well.
