female german shepherd info
10 pts! Please help me with this hard to find question!!?

My dogs got out sunday. I have not been able to sleep right, nor have i had an appette. one was a full breed 1yr old female german shepherd, and the other an 8 yr. old male shepherd mix. They dug a whole and got out, only thing is the male has returned within an hour all the previous times hes gotten out. this time they both have been missing for 3days. I had him tied up so he wouldnt dig, but he got out of his collar and left. anyway, the female has a microchip and i have read, and heard that there is some sort of tracking device that is somewhat like a gps for dogs that have a microchip. if so is this true, and where can i locate one of these places that does it. I asked at my local humane society and they said they didnt know anything about it. Can anyone please offer some valuable information on this? I have already scouted my entire city and have made 100+ flyers and have an ad coming out in this weeks paper….please help my find more info..thanks!

You have to call all your area shelters, every day. I know this sounds like an impossible task, but shelters are so busy, that they may not have time and staff to check every dog that comes in to match to a missing dog flier. It’s sad but true. You may also have to visit your area shelters every few days to check in person.

I don’t know about the gps, but that only helps find them after the fact. There has to be a way to keep them from escaping, which may be only taking them outside while you’re there supervising, and then keeping them in the house when you can’t watch them.

Try posting a (free) ad in craigslist.com in the “lost/found “section for your city, and in the “pet” section also. I hope you find them!

Edit: You can also contact these 2 forums, who have members involved in German Shepherd rescue (USA). Many of the members locate GSDs in shelters and pounds and get them into rescue groups. The forums also have sections for “lost & found” dogs:

What Is Spastic Colon?

Irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS, is a very common medical disorder plaguing many people ” both men and women alike. The sometimes excruciating symptoms of gas, bloating, abdominal cramping, constipation, and diarrhea ” or sometimes alternating periods of both, often make the IBS victim unwilling to seek the advice of a health care professional for IBS relief. Often times, doctors will dismiss IBS symptoms as being nervous stomachs or misdiagnosis them as a stomach bug, prompting unneeded antibiotic treatment. Other doctors still believe IBS is in the head, a manifestation of psychological illness. But no matter is causing your IBS pain and discomfort, IBS sufferers need real IBS relief.

Magnesium
Magnesium is a very good remedy for IBS. By eating foods rich in magnesium or by taking magnesium supplements, the symptoms of IBS can be controlled. Magnesium is a very vital mineral that helps in the absorption of food.

The causes are believed to be nuerological in nature. The problem begins when your brain fires signals to your intestine which causes food to be moved too quickly or too slowly. This hurts the normal digestive process that
you have. IBS is often associated with stress, anxiety and sleep disorders. These attacks may be triggered by stress on the job when you cannot meet deadlines or your boss is always finding fault with your work. Stressful events like the death of someone close or losing a job suddenly will cause this illness.

The main symtoms of IBS are pain or discomfort in the abdominal area, and chronic diarrhea, constipation, or a combination of both. Other symptoms may include a bloated abdomen, whitish mucus in the stool, or a feeling that you haven’t finished a bowel movement.

Below are a summary of some of the ingredients Bavolex contains.
Lemon Balms is a herb from the mint family. It is often taken after a meal to relive gas and indigestion. The German Commission E knows lemon balm is useful for treatment of sleep disorders and stomach upsets. 5-HPT is an animo acid that is extracted from seeds. It is extrated from the African plant Griffonia Simplicifolia. The body converts this to serotin a substance that regulates the speed food travels through intestines and regulates moods.

Bavolex’s natural ingredients work with the body to relieve IBS symptoms. Lemon balm helps to reduce indigestion and gas. Camomile helps to reduce stress and anxiety. Fennel seed helps to reduce intestinal spasms. Together with other soothing extracts, these ingredients form a highly effective weapon against spastic colon/IBS.
