How to train submissive dogs?
I have an 11 month old dalmation I recently adopted who has had 5 different owners do to different reasons. She has a submissive urination problem and I was looking for ways to train her out of it. She mostly just pees around almost all other dogs (of all sizes) and occasionally small children.
My advice is to get in touch with a trainer…. not a Petsmart trainer but an actual experienced trainer who has dealt with abused and neglected dogs.
This is a problem that will take quite a while and a lot of work on your part to overcome. I don’t know exactly what she has endured in her short life but it has done substantial damage and she needs loads of encouragement & praise from you . She also needs to learn that she is OK and safe and NOT going to be harmed.
Work with a qualified trainer and she will become the most loving and loyal friend you will ever have,,,, believe me on this.
