i want to train my dog for home protection but i cant afford to spend $1,000s, where can i go ?
Or what should i do? I live in gainesville, fl if that helps i am reaaly interested in making my dog more confident.
Unless you want a dog that is a liability on your hands for possibly biting without reason (something that will get your dog put down)- nowhere really.
It does indeed take thousands of dollars to properly train a home protection dog, and then that dog can never be a family pet (work will always be the priority). It’s also not the place to make your dog more confident as you need a dog with the right temperament to be trained for it (shy/ fearful/ under confident dogs do not cut it).
Socialize your dog, love him, and go do some basic obedience to help your dog. If you’re worried about your home buy an alarm system, and possibly a gun.
