Which Purina Brand dog food is best for a puppy?
Out of all the Purina dog food brands (Beneful, Pro Plan, Purina One or Puppy Chow) which is best for a puppy?
Depends what available and what you can afford, they aren’t fantastic, but proplan and purina one are better then pediigree. Eagle pack and Eagle pack holistic are better then both! Look for one that has meat as listed as the 1st ingredient.
I’m australian, we have very few Holistic brands, Optimum and Eagle Pack & Eagle Pack Holistic. We also have innova evo got a free sample, suppost to be a fantastic food, . She such a gentle, loving, friendly and well manner dog.
but when i tried ONE single kibble, my dog suddenly turned aggressive and tried to attack an elderly couple, as well as trying to eat another dog. Never had this reaction before, NO history of aggression.
Dogs can be allergic to corn, but its actualy NOT toxic to them. Its the WHOLE corn cob that can be lethal to dogs, as when cut in half, they can be swallow whole! Which requires surgery to remove it!
Beneful healthy growth is crap.

Honestly i used Proplan and Purina one on my dog, due to its affordability. I’m an not a rich person, but i usually spend about $109 on 17.5kg bag of Proplan. this is stretching it though!
I haven’t had any problems with allergies no gunky eyes, alert and active, lol even though she now 10years & 8months old! lovely thick shiny coat and it feel like silk to touch!
I fed another good brand called Advance due to it being even cheaper, however my dog develop allergies to the alfalfa. She devoped gunky eyes and lack of energy. Which means NO matter how matter how great Eagle Pack holistic is, due to alfalfa she get a allergic reaction to it
I cannot afford the more fancy holistic stuff, plus i’ve discovered my dog allergic to alfalfa and most holistic brands have this ingredient in it!
it just depends on the dog. But proplan work for me & so does purine one.
